Through the innovative and prescient leadership of Thomas R. Rodgers, Th.D., Christian Education Enterprises Incorporated (C.E.E., Inc.) was founded on September 15, 1979, and issued a not-for-profit Certificate of Incorporation by the Indiana Secretary of State on October 1, 1979.  C.E.E., Inc. became a United States Internal Revenue Service-approved 501(C) (3) not-for-profit corporation on January 21, 1980.  During the formative years (1979-1986) the law firm of Bowers Harrison, LLP, of Evansville, Indiana served as custodian of the record.

Long before the current widespread appreciation for distance learning, C.E.E. Inc. was a pioneer in the promotion of global access to Theological Distance Education through innovative analog technology by providing Biblical course content through audio and video cassettes to Bible Colleges and Seminaries.  It also expanded its educational ministry to include curriculum, instruction, and care at the pre-primary school level through daycare and preschool programs.

Upon his retirement in 2001, Dr. Rodgers was succeeded as Chairman and President by Dennis D. Frey, Th.D.  Under Dr. Frey’s leadership CEE, Inc., has moved from analog to digital and online technology eventually focusing all of its resources on postsecondary Christian higher education to adult learners through its Biblical Higher Education Initiative that supports the mission and purpose of Master’s International University of Divinity.

The pioneering spirit that was the hallmark of the founding of CEE, Inc. continues today in its emphasis on the use of digital and online technology to facilitate access to Christ-centered and Bible-based curricula worldwide.
